Love in the form of a recipe and tartlet tins, handed down from generation to generation. This recipe, along with other pieces of our Swedish heritage, has become part of the inspiration for the labor of love we do at Olivewood Ranch.

Swedish Butter Cookies

Ingredients

Swedish tartlet tins
1 cup of butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. almond extract
1 large egg, slightly beaten
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour

 

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375
Butter the tartlet tins
Cream the butter, sugar, and almond extract. Stir in the egg. Work the flour into the butter mixture. Beat until smooth. Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes.
Make 1 inch dough balls and press into each tin. Place tins on cookie sheet and bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool the tins 4 to 5 minutes, then remove and cool on racks.
